Despite being only a small country whose economy has for six decades been relentlessly hammered by US sanctions that are designed to starve its people into submission, Cuba’s generosity to the world and the effectiveness of the measures it has taken to combat the coronavirus both at home and abroad are a tribute both to the Cuban people and to the system of socialism.
Thanks to socialism, Cuba has survived the cruel US sanctions, and, thanks to socialism, Cuba has been able and willing to stretch out a helping hand to the world in its hour of need.
